My Current Obessions Part II

1. Center Stage (2000)

This movie is about 6 students in the American Ballet Academy along with their personal problems as they struggle to survive in the academy and get the jobs at the American Ballet Company. I haven't watch the sequel though. But I think this movie is the best movie about dancing (especially ballet).

2. Band of Brothers (2001)
You know I've been obsessed with this miniseries right? ;3 I never get bored watching this movie again and again. So touching.

3. Eion Bailey

Who the hell is he? He played in those two movies i just told you. Yep, he played Jim Gordon, who is Maureen Cummings' (one of the ABA students I told you earlier) boyfriend, in Center Stage. And in Band of Brothers he played Pvt. David Kenyon Webster, a Harvard student who fought alongside the men of Easy Company. Got wounded in The Netherland (if Im not mistaken), joined the men again in Haguenau, France, but then treated as if he was a replacement, because he missed the Battle of the Bulge. He then befriended a new Lieutenant from West Point, 2nd Lt. Henry Jones.4. Other Casts of Band of Brothers

Matthew Settle -- Ronald Speirs
Rick Gomez -- George Luz
Donnie Wahlberg -- Carwood Lipton
Philip Barantini -- Wayne "Skinny" Sisk
Behind -> Scott Grimes -- Donald G. Malarkey
In Front -> Shane Taylor -- Eugene Roe

There are many more, but let's say I like all of them <3>

5. Bruises by Chairlift

There is this song called Bruises. I really like the lyrics. "I tried to do handstands for you, I tried to do headstands for you, but everytime I fell on you, everytime I fell for you"

6. Arctic Monkeys
This is the second time Arctic Monkeys appears in My Current Obsessions List. Why? Because I never get bored listening to them! Besides, I can sing along the lyrics with full energy.

7. Owl City
It all started when my friend Nidi tweeted that Owl City is good. Then i heard the song on the radio. Then I listened to their songs. Then Im in love with it.

8. Phoenix
I actually became very obsessed with Phoenix ever since I went to their gig here in Indonesia. And can't stop loving ever since.
Sorry for the long post, mates, but I enjoyed writing this :)

You don't need to ask anymore. You already know the answer.

Maureen Cummings: Erik got injured today. And do you know the first thing I thought when I saw him go down?
Jim Gordon
: What?
Maureen Cummings: "I wish that was me." So that made me think, you know, 'cause that's not a normal reaction. How much of what you liked about me was because I was a ballet dancer, and how much because I was me?

She cried. Then he hugged her protectively.

from the movie Center Stage (2000). And yes, I am currently obsessed with it.

My Irresistible Obssession

"i need to either find a way to go back in time so i can fight in world war 2, or become less obsessed with band of brothers. first please."

Found this quote when I searched for Band Of Brothers on Trending Topics on Twitter. Courtesy of Marcus Baney.

We're Paratroopers, Lieutenant. We're supposed to be surrounded.

This is the story of WW II, told from the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment 101st Airborne Division 2nd Battalion Easy Company men's point of views. This HBO's miniseries are based on true story. This has been my obsession these past few weeks! Like, where else would you find a war movie with good war humors and jokes with 98% accuracy of the history and the best part is... good-looking macho men with guns?? So yeah, one of the BEST miniseries/movie of all-time. This is a must-watch and I suggest you guys really should watch this. Anyway, if you don't like harsh or sarcastic jokes and language you prolly shouldn't. But hell, this is a fun way to learn history. Here are some quotes taken from imdb.com so you would know what's it gonna like.
--
Cpt. Nixon: Hitler's dead. Liebgott: Holy shit. Cpt. Nixon: Shot himself in Berlin. Sgt. Denver 'Bull' Randleman: Is the war over, sir? Cpt. Nixon: No. We have orders to Berchtesgaden. We move out in one hour. Pvt. David Kenyon Webster: Why? The man's not home. He should have killed himself three years ago. Saved us a lot of trouble. Cpt. Nixon: Yeah, he should have. But he didn't.
--
Donald Malarkey: [the men are going over Heffron and Spina's run-in with the German in the foxhole] He shoulda shot Hinkel in the ass. Warren Muck: Then he woulda shot *him* in the ass. [the men start laughing] Pvt. Edward 'Babe' Heffron: [Domingus comes around with stale pancakes and shovels them into everyone's mess tin] Hey, God bless ya. Donald Malarkey: Joe, these smell like my armpit! Warren Muck: [holding up one of the pancakes] At least your armpit's warm. Joe Domingus: You want syrup with that? Donald Malarkey: Joe, be honest, what's in these things anyway, huh? Joe Domingus: Nothing you won't eat, Malarkey. [he walks away] Pvt. Ralph Spina: I won't eat Malarkey. [they all start laughing again] Pvt. John T. Julian: Hey, hey, maybe Hinkel would like your share, huh? Pvt. Edward 'Babe' Heffron: I shoulda shot him when I had the chance. Warren Muck: What, running backwards, Babe? 2nd Lt. Thomas Peacock: [Lt. Peacock walks up] Anybody seen Lieutenant Dike? Donald Malarkey: Uh, try battalion CP, sir. [Peacock walks away, and the men start giggling once he is out of earshot] Warren Muck: Try Paris. Donald Malarkey: Try Hinkel. [they all crack up again] Pvt. Ralph Spina: [Spina puts on a bad German accent and makes to hug Heffron] Hinkel, sveetie, I'm home! Pvt. Edward 'Babe' Heffron: [Heffron turns to Doc Roe, who is sitting nearby] Hey Eugene, Lieutenant Dike's got a full aid kit, try him. Donald Malarkey: Yeah, I'm sure he's not usin' his. [the men laugh again] Pvt. John T. Julian: Maybe Hinkel's got a syrette for ya. Warren Muck: Eat your strudel. Donald Malarkey: [in his own bad German accent] Hey, Hinkel-Vinkel, eat ze armpit, huh?
--
Richard Winters: We're not lost, Private... we're in Normandy.
--
George Luz: Hey Janovek, whatcha reading? John Janovek: An article. George Luz: No shit. What's it about? John Janovek: It's about why we're fighting the war. George Luz: Why are we fighting the war, Janovek? John Janovek: It appears the Germans are bad, very bad. George Luz: You don't say! The Germans are bad, huh? [Turns to Perconte] George Luz: Hey Frank, this guy is reading an article that says the Germans *are bad*.
--
Alex Penkala: Joe got hit in the arm? New Year's Eve gift from the Luftwaffe. Ken Webb: Have a lot of you guys been injured? Sgt. Martin: It's called "wounded," Peanut. "Injured" is when you fall out of a tree or something. Warren Muck: Don't worry, there so much crap flying around, you're bound to get dinged sometime. Almost every one of these guys got hit at least once. Except for Ally, he's a two-timer. He landed on broken glass in Normandy, and got peppered by a potato masher. Now, Bull... he got a piece of exploding tank in Holland. Now George Luz here... has never been hit. You're one lucky bastard. George Luz: Takes one to know one, Skip. Warren Muck: Huh, considered us blessed. Now Leibgott, the skinny little guy? He got pinged in the neck in Holland. And right next to him, the other skinny little guy, that's Popeye. He got shot in his scrawny little butt in Normandy. And, uh, Buck got shot in his rather large butt in Holland. Alex Penkala: Yeah, kind of an Easy Company tradition, getting shot in the ass. Warren Muck: Hey, even First Sergeant Lipton there, he got a couple of pieces of a tank shell burst in Carentan. One chunk in the face, the other chunk nearly took out his nuts. Bill Guarnere: How are those nuts, Sarge? Carwood Lipton: They're doing fine, Bill. Nice of you to ask.
--
David Webster: [at a passing column of German prisoners] Hey, you! That's right, you stupid Kraut bastards! That's right! Say hello to Ford, and General fuckin' Motors! You stupid fascist pigs! Look at you! You have horses! What were you thinking? Dragging our asses half way around the world, interrupting our lives... For what, you ignorant, servile scum! What the fuck are we doing here?
--
Richard Winters: Captain Sobel, we salute the rank, not the man.
--
Richard Winters: We're paratroopers, Lieutenant. We're supposed to be surrounded.

Perfect Music+Perfect People+Perfect Lighting=Perfect Performance

Audy, Clarissa, and I, along with my sister Dila and her friend kak Dani watched Phoenix at Beatfest 2009 last night (August 1st)! Woohoo. Beatfest 2009 was held in Bengkel Nightpark, Sudirman. Other band who performed were Naif (they went to Bengkel right after they performed in Sky Avenue), The S.I.G.I.T (which surprisingly sounds cool to me, yeah, their genre wasn't really my music), and Rock and Roll Mafia (their music was okay, tapi waktu dinyanyiin kayak kurang gairah gitu. kurang heboh, jadi kebanting deh musiknya). Unfortunately, seeing that the sponsor was a cigarette brand, everybody was smoking. I repeat, EVERYbody. The hall was full of smoke and there was no fresh air. Fortunately, right before Phoenix came on stage, Audy, Clarissa, and I moved to the front near the aircon. BUT!! Everyone in front of us was curiously tall and we could only see small part of the stage. That was alright, though. Coz we stood right next to the giant speaker. Sooo, I took out my phone, reached out and stretched my arm as high as I could and took 49 pictures, yeah, I know, I've counted. So here are the pictures!!!
Lisztomania, their first single of their new album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, was their first song.
And the lighting was perfect! Anyway, Im sorry that these pics are all in a blur, It was really crowded and as you can read, I was holding the phone as high as I could to get through the heads of the tall people in front of me.

Amazing lighting! Personal favorite. The lights formed the shape X and it was reaaallly cooool!
Deck D'Arcy-left. Christian Mazzalai-right. Christian is the other guitarist, Branco's brother! Anyway, there was one moment that I thought Christian looked into my eyes! Ha ha. I don't if this is true, though. because I was amazed and my face was like "haaaa" (heaven's call) ha ha. Because!!! He was like looking at me (I thought) and he leaned forward towards the crowd where I was. Well, maybe he looked at the whole crowd, but what the hell!! Let's just consider he looked at me, teehee.

need explanation?

Yo ma homies! Im back from like 2 months hiatus!!! wow, i mean, wow. the last time i posted here was after, you know, the bad break-up. Im kinda over that, thank God praise the Lord!!! well not 100% of course, but you know, pretty much over that.. I guess im 75% over him. I dont think about him that often anymore, and i have said hi when i met him yesterday. or maybe two days ago? whatever. OK! enough said, let's forget about him!

okay so.... i've mentioned Hunter Parrish as my new eye candy, yes? Now he's my current obsession. AND I HAVE WATCHED 17 AGAIN! Yay! he's very adorable there! He plays Stan, the basketball jock/mike's daughter's boyfriend.
Photobucket

okay i know he was such a jerk there! but i still love love him! LOL. yeah but no kidding, he was reaaaaally cool.

and he played in Broadway's Spring Awakening recently! He plays Melchior.
melchior
MAJORLY HOT!
and if he plays in Broadway, it means he sings!
Photobucket
Just search "Hunter Parrish" on YouTube and you'll find videos where he sings! I also find a video where he whistles a song called "Little Boxes" which is the theme song of "Weeds". SO CUTE!

I like him because of this movie:
Photobucket
Yep, RV (Robin Williams, JoJo, Josh Hutcherson). Hunter Parrish plays Earl Gornicke, the oldest son of the weird family. There is a scene where Earl asks Cassie (JoJo) if she has a boyfriend. Cassie replies "yeah, well, actually Im engaged" and Earl smiles CUTELY and says "unlikely". This is the part where he got me melted!!!

He now plays Silas Botwin in the hit TV series "Weeds". Here is the picture of the scene where he was with Mary-Kate Olsen
Photobucket

and here are the rest of the pictures of him i got from the world wide web!
